Why does white ink matter?

Standard CMYK printing has no white, so on a dark or transparent surface, light artwork would vanish or turn muddy. A printed white underbase gives colors something opaque to sit on, which is essential for white logos on black badges or printing on brushed metal.

Can you create a true metallic look?

Two ways. Print color over a brushed silver or gold metal badge so the finish shows through, or use the UV presses to build raised, textured, and spot-gloss effects. UV-cured ink is scratch and fade resistant.
