We do not store credit card numbers on our servers — all payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We only collect information necessary to process your orders, provide customer support, and improve our services. You can request a copy of your data, request deletion, or opt out of marketing emails at any time.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Account Information: When you create an account or place an order, we collect personal information including your name, email address, phone number, company name, and shipping and billing addresses. This information is necessary to fulfill your orders and provide customer support.
1.2 Order Information: We collect information related to your orders, including badge designs, text content, uploaded images and logos, product selections, quantities, and order history. This information is necessary to manufacture and deliver your custom name badges and identification products.
1.3 Payment Information: When you make a purchase, your payment is processed securely by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment card data on our servers. We may retain the last four digits of your card number, card type, and billing address for order reference and fraud prevention purposes.
1.4 Browsing and Device Data: When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and other browsing behavior. This applies to all categories of personal information we collect, including your name, email, phone number, address, order history, browsing data, and any other information associated with your account.
3.2 No Third-Party Marketing Sharing: We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. Your data is used solely by Name Badges, LLC to serve you and fulfill our business obligations.
3.3 Limited Sharing for Service Delivery: We share personal information with third-party service providers only as strictly necessary to operate our business and fulfill your orders (for example, payment processing, shipping, tax calculation, and email delivery). These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only for the specific services they provide to us and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate our business. These providers only receive information necessary to perform their specific function and are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
4.1 Payment Processing: All credit card and debit card transactions are processed by a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Your full card details are transmitted directly to the processor and are never stored on our servers. We may retain the last four digits and card type for order reference.

4.3 Tax Calculation: Your shipping address is shared with our tax calculation provider to determine the correct sales tax based on applicable state and local rates.

6.2 PCI-Compliant Payment Processing: All payment card transactions are processed through Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Your full credit card number, expiration date, and CVV are never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our servers.
6.3 Network Security: Our website is protected by Cloudflare's enterprise-grade web application firewall (WAF), which provides protection against DDoS attacks, SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and other common web vulnerabilities.
6.4 Security Monitoring: We conduct regular security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and code reviews to identify and address potential security issues. We maintain server access logs and implement rate limiting to detect and prevent unauthorized access attempts.
6.5 No Absolute Guarantee: While we implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data, but we are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents that may occur.
7. YOUR RIGHTS

7.2 Right to Deletion: You may request that we delete your account and associated personal information. Please note that we are required by law to retain certain records (such as order and tax records) for a minimum of seven (7) years, even after account deletion. 7.3 Right to Correction: You may update or correct your personal information at any time by logging into your account, or by contacting us at support@namebadge.com.
7.4 Right to Opt Out of Marketing Emails: Every marketing email we send contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You may also opt out by contacting us directly. We will process your opt-out request within 10 business days. Please note that opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notifications, etc.), which are necessary for order fulfillment.
7.5 Right to Opt Out of Cookies: You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings as described in Section 5.5 above. Disabling analytics and marketing cookies will not affect your ability to browse or purchase from our website.
7.6 Right to Opt Out of Visitor Identification: If you do not wish to be identified by our marketing tools, you may contact us at support@namebadge.com to be excluded from these services.
7.7 Do Not Track (DNT) Signals: Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites you visit. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At this time, NameBadge.com does not alter its data collection and use practices in response to DNT signals. However, you may exercise your privacy rights as described in this section regardless of your DNT setting.
8. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA/CPRA)
8.1 Applicability: If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information.
8.2 Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share the information.
8.3 Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law (such as tax and legal compliance obligations).

8.5 Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: Name Badges, LLC does not sell your personal information, nor do we share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. 8.6 Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. You will not receive different pricing, a different quality of service, or be denied service for making a privacy-related request.
8.7 How to Submit a Request: To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@namebadge.com or call us toll-free at (800) 243-9227. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days as required by law.
8.8 Authorized Agent: You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide written proof of authorization, and we may verify your identity directly.
8.9 Categories of Information Collected: In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, address), commercial information (order history, products purchased), internet or network activity (browsing behavior, IP address), and inferences drawn from the above (product preferences). We have not collected biometric information, geolocation data, sensory data, or professional/employment information.
9. USER-UPLOADED CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
9.1 Customer Responsibility: Customers are solely responsible for all content they upload to our website, including but not limited to logos, images, photographs, graphics, text, and any other materials incorporated into badge designs. Name Badges, LLC is a custom manufacturing service and produces badges based on the designs and content submitted by customers.
9.2 No Verification of Ownership: Name Badges, LLC does not verify, investigate, or confirm the copyright, trademark, or intellectual property ownership of any content uploaded by customers. We do not perform trademark searches, reverse image searches, or any other form of intellectual property clearance on customer-submitted materials.
9.3 Customer Representation and Warranty: By uploading any content to NameBadge.com, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the owner of the content, or you have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to use the content and to authorize Name Badges, LLC to reproduce it on your ordered products; (b) the content does not infringe upon or violate the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other rights of any third party; and (c) the content does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
9.4 Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Name Badges, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your uploaded content; (b) any claim that your uploaded content infringes or violates the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party; or (c) your breach of the representations and warranties in Section 9.3.
9.5 Limitation of Liability: Name Badges, LLC shall not be liable for any copyright infringement, trademark infringement, or other intellectual property violation arising from customer-supplied designs, logos, images, or text. Our role is limited to manufacturing the products as designed by the customer.
9.6 DMCA Compliance: Name Badges, LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content available on our website infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated agent at support@namebadge.com. Your notice must include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location on our site; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
9.7 Right to Refuse: Name Badges, LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse, remove, or decline to produce any order containing content that we reasonably believe may infringe third-party intellectual property rights, contain offensive or unlawful material, or otherwise violate these terms.
10. DATA RETENTION
10.1 Account Data: We retain your account information (name, email, address, phone number) for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your account data, except as required for legal and regulatory compliance.
10.2 Order History and Transaction Records: We retain order history, invoices, and transaction records for a minimum of seven (7) years after the date of the transaction, as required for tax reporting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution purposes. This retention period applies regardless of whether your account is active or deleted.
10.3 Uploaded Designs and Images: Customer-uploaded badge designs, images, and logos are retained while your account is active to allow for re-orders and design access. After account closure or deletion, uploaded designs may be deleted from our systems, though residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period.
10.4 Marketing Email Lists: If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we will remove your email address from our active marketing lists within 10 business days. We may retain a suppression record of your email address to ensure we honor your opt-out preference.
10.5 Browsing and Analytics Data: Anonymous browsing and analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies is retained in accordance with the retention policies of the applicable third-party analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics retains data for 14 months by default).
10.6 Customer Support Communications: Records of customer support interactions (emails, chat transcripts, phone call notes) are retained for up to three (3) years to provide continuity of service and resolve any ongoing or future issues.
11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
