Mesh vs. solid vinyl banner: which is better for wind and outdoors?
Mesh and solid vinyl banners differ in one key way: mesh has small holes across the surface (a common blow-through weave is roughly 70 percent material, 30 percent open), while solid 13 oz scrim vinyl is a continuous, non-porous sheet.

Slightly. The perforations soften fine detail and let some light through, so mesh reads best from a distance. For close-up viewing, solid vinyl is sharper.
