What are magnetic name badges?
A magnetic name badge attaches to clothing using a magnet rather than a pin or clip. The badge has one or more magnets on its back, and a separate steel plate goes behind the fabric. The two snap together through the garment, holding the badge firmly without any holes.
How does the magnet backing work?
You place the loose steel plate on the inside of your shirt or jacket, then bring the badge up to the outside. The magnets pull to the plate and clamp the fabric between them. Stronger badges use multiple neodymium magnets for extra grip on heavier clothing.
